Europe 2026, Day 10: Life in London

03-April-2026

We have covered all the stadiums that we wanted to visit, so today we’ll start to visit the usual places of interest like a proper tourist!

Note – This is a part of a 12 Day Blog relating to my friend group’s trip around Europe and primarily the UK. See here

1st stop: Borough Market

It’s a huge market below railway lines and we reckon we can get our breakfast here as well. We reached around 10am where it just opened and the crowd is already forming.

Walked around for abit before settling on Singapore styled Ya-Kun Mei Mei eggs & toast breakfast while CK has nasi lemak! Note that Uncle Roger has filmed a video here before!

Browsed around the shops and both CK/KT went to get their oysters. They also bought a Bomba seafood Paella and we shared among us.

After brunch, we kickstarted the beers. 🍻🍻

2nd stop: London Bridge

London bridge is just walking distance from Borough market, so we walked there on foot. There we took some photos and admired the nice view of river Thames.

3rd stop: Tower Bridge

Since Tower bridge looked nicer in the background, we walked towards it. Along the way we walked pass the London Bridge train station and The Shard which are both beautiful.

4th stop: Buckingham Palace

For this we took a long tube ride and walked towards Buckingham Palace. There are many tourists snapping pictures and waiting for the guard to change shift so they can march out/in.

5th stop: Trafalgar Square

Short distance away from Buckingham Palace is Trafalgar Square, which is where we are headed next.

All right, after all these walking, we were pretty beat up (at least I was). So, we took the tube back to Picadilly and went to a sports bar: BOX Piccadilly to watch some games and chill out.

After drinks, we went to China Town’s supermarket and brought some steamboat stuff. Afterwards we went back to our AirBnB and cooked our own Hai Di Lao for dinner, ending the long day of walking.
