Last day of the trip and we’re heading home!

After checking out of our AirBnB, we wheeled our luggage to a convenience store where they can keep our luggage till 5pm since our flight is at night 10pm.
After leaving our luggage we took the tube to Piccadilly one last time and had lunch at Happy Restaurant, courtesy of JX. The food is really tasty; guess they didn’t win the “Best Restaurant in London” in 2022 and 2023 for nothing.
After lunch we walked around and ended up in Empire Casino / King’s Sports bar again.
At 4pm we went back to pick up our luggage and preparing to head to the airport. Was almost arrested for casually throwing a cigarette butt onto the floor but lucky was let off with a caution. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Headed to airport where we had our last rounds of beer in UK before boarding the plane back home to Singapore!
Final Reflections:
Writing this now feels surreal. Looking back at the last 12 days, I’m still processing everything that transpired. It was a rare privilege to make this “boys’ trip” a reality with childhood friends I’ve known for over three decades.
We explored new cities, shared endless laughter, and finally stepped inside the world’s most iconic stadiums. While each of us support different clubs, we visited them together and truly enjoyed them all.
> A massive shoutout to CK, who handled the bulk of the planning. As this was the first Europe trip for JX, KT, and myself, we would have been completely lost without him. This dream trip simply wouldn’t have happened without his effort. Cheers to over 30 years of friendship—and to the next adventure!
