Day 2 of our trip to Taiwan consists of a total of 4 destinations. First to Wushi Harbor for Yilan Whale Watching, then to Shifen Waterfall, then to releasing sky lanterns at Shifen old street, then finally to Jiufen Old Street for dinner before heading back to our accomodation at La Cle Hotel. All our destinations primarily revolve around the Northeast of Taiwan, that being Yilan County, New Taipei City and Taipei City. This’ll be a long one

Day 3 of our trip to Taiwan consists of only 1 location, that being a visit to Neiwan Old Street. Its an early retirement to our accomodation at Flower Home today due to the need to have a wander around the “resort” itself. Day 4 of our trip to Taiwan consists of 2 locations this time, that being a visit to Sun Moon Lake and then the nearby Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village (What a mouthful) before heading back to our accommodation. All of our travel today will revolve around Nantou County and primarily the Cultural Village and its attached theme park (Yes. Theme Park). Enjoy!

Day 5 of our trip to Taiwan consists of, finally, more locations this time. 4 to be exact, that being a visit to Hehuanshan in the wee hours of the morning, then Cingjing farm, then Lukang Old Street before headed to watch the sunset at Gaomei Wetlands and retiring at our accomodation at TREEART Hotel. All this spans across the Nantou and Changhua Counties and Taichung City. Enjoy!

Our 6th and final day of our trip to Taiwan consists of 3 locations, Tamsui Old Street then, finally, the long awaited… Taipei 101 before finally heading back to Taoyuan Airport for departure at midnight for an overnight flight back to Singapore. This means we’ll be headed from the far South of our travels back to the far North. Enjoy!

I’ve always dreamed of travelling to Yunnan, China, especially Shangri‑La. A few years ago I had flights and accommodation booked for Kunming/Shangri‑La, but then COVID hit and the trip was cancelled. This year I really wanted to go on a long trip to China – so Yunnan it is.
That being said, I am too busy and too lazy to plan out a free and easy itinerary and do comparisons between agencies and check out reviews etc, I decided to book a package tour that would cover all the places I wanted to see without the stress.

Today, after breakfast, we said goodbye to Shangri-La. Our destination today was Dali, but instead of going straight there, we detoured to Shaxi Ancient Town – a very pretty, little quiet ancient town on the historic Tea Horse Ancient Road, a caravan route that once connected Yunnan with Tibet and beyond.

Today took us deep into the mountains surrounding Shangri-La, to one of the region’s most spectacular and lesser-known destinations – Balagezong Scenic Area. If you’re planning a visit to Shangri-La and love nature as much as I do, this is a place you really shouldn’t miss.
From the moment we arrived, the views were so breathtaking that they left both my husband and me completely in awe.
