Day 3 : Lijiang

Today is another early early start. Today’s destination was Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and we needed to reach the base by 8 am sharp. That meant morning call at 6am, breakfast at 6.15 am and leaving the hotel by 7 am. Excited for the day ahead, especially excited to finally see snow (or so we thought).

Day 2 : Kunming – Dali – Lijiang

This morning, we officially set off for Lijiang, with a stopover in Dali along the way.

In my previous post, I shared the pros of booking a tour package. Now, let’s talk about one of the cons as quoted by my hubby being “herded around like cows/sheep.”

Pak Bara – Sleepy Town

Nicknamed the “Sleepy Town”, Pak Bara is a transport hub and for most, a one night stay before leaving for Koh Lipe, Koh Tarutao etc. Although it’s a small town often overlooked, most people you ask will tell you it exudes a certain… charm to it. Here’s what we did during our one-night stopover in Pak Bara

Cameron Highlands – Misty Mountains

Located 800-1600m above sea level, Cameron Highlands is located just off Kuala Lumpur, home to waterfalls, gardens, tea plantations and organic vegetable hotpots (We’ll get back to that.)

A much more calming alternative to Genting Highlands, most of Cameron Highlands is situated in the mist-covered mountains, ensuring that you are almost always cool. Here’s what we did in our 3 days 2 nights stay in Cameron Highlands
