Oh my god, this is genuinely the best holiday I’ve been on, and there’s no competition. Finally being able to step foot out of Singapore felt great and refreshing, so without further ado. Here, I’ll tell you all about Lexis Hibiscus and my stay there.
A beginners guide to Lexis Hibiscus
So, you may have never heard of Lexis Hibiscus, let me show you a picture and blow your mind real quick.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson. (n.d.). Retrieved May 12, 2022, from https://www.lexishibiscuspd.com/media/news/lexis-hibiscus-port-dickson-has-set-a-new-world-record
Impressive? Those villas on the water are pool villas, meaning that they each contain a private pool for the person who booked it to swim in, no need for booking pool reservations and have 1 hour of rushed swimming! As you can see, the villas are arranged in a flower pattern, a hibiscus to be exact. Lexis is located at Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia!

While we’re on the topic of the pool villas, this hotel actually holds 2 Guiness World Records for hotels! The most Swimming Pools in a Resort, coming in at 643, and the most Overwater Villas in a Resort, coming in at 522. So in any case, we were staying in a world record resort!
Our Journey starts HERE
Continuing off of Glamping, we ate some Mcdonalds for breakfast (no photos, sad) to get us fuelled up, went to the bathroom, and embarked on the longest road trip we’ve had so far. We made our way to the Tuas Checkpoint (The yellow line bridging to Johor on the left) and got stuck there for 10 minutes. I was expecting to hit much more traffic, but it seems like luck is on our side. After we passed the Singapore side, our car officially landed on Malaysian Concrete.

We were steadily cruising along the North-South highway. It was raining outside but that made for some pretty great views
First experience in Malaysia since 2020?
It was interesting. Many things I saw in Malaysia were not present in Singapore due to the fact that driving to Port Dickson in the first place was like stretching Singapore entire perimeter out, AND DRIVING ACROSS IT 4 TIMES! Malaysia is a huge place, which has space for a lot of things. Along the North-South highway, we saw telephone poles (Don’t have those in Singapore) palm tree plantations (Malaysia is one of the biggest palm exporters in the world) and hills! Many many hills. Due to the fact it was raining, it may misty everywhere, which made for great views of mountains. “Mist underneath while a tall peak rises above it all!”
Another thing about Malaysia is the speed of cars. You see the max speed in Singapore is 90km/h, in Malaysia however, its 110! Now that might not seem like much of an increase, but those cars were ZOOMING. This was the first time our car went so quick, and it was a journey indeed.

Almost there!
Of course we did take bathroom breaks along the way. Malaysias’ land is conveniently sprinkled with bathroom and good ol’ shops to buy mentos in. But our first major stop was here.

We stopped at this little area with bathrooms, and some food, one of which included A&W. This was my first time eating A&W which I can remember, the past times were as a kid, so this was new to me! We ate some coneys, chicken, more coneys and root beer (No alcohol) A&W tasted amazing and the coneys were out of the world, onion rings were amazing too and the root beer deserves to be known around the world, too bad A&W’s lines in Singapore are out of this world.
Our Arrival at Lexis Hibiscus
We had arrived at Lexis Hibiscus, and this is where my photos started getting professional. We had to park all the way at level 7 because there were so many people there, but when we got there, the view was insane

Tell me straight to my face that doesn’t look epic. This is genuinely my favourite picture I took at Lexis because of how beautiful the lights and the villas looks. The sky in the right, the lounge building in the middle, the boats in the background. Its perfect and it brings tears to my eye. We got down to the building and checked in, and we got this pamphlet.

The room and the way there.
We got the pamphlet and started making our way to the room, however we didnt need to walk. THERE WERE BUGGYS. I don’t have a picture of said buggy, but what can’t google fix. A lot of pictures incoming

We made our way to the room and I took some more pictures, cause Lexis is just too beautiful
After this we entered out room, and OH MY GOD it was beautiful, stunningly good. Anyways, this post is getting too long so I’ll section of the rest of the day, day 2 and day 3 for next post. Keep an eye out!
