Hello! I’m back from the dead to write more terrible stories! This time we returned to my new favourite resort Lexis Hibiscus to stay at their sky villas. These sky villas are perched in the tower that’s behind Lexis, so the view was amazing rest assured. Without further ado, lets get into it!

I will be making regular reference to my past blog post about Lexis where we stayed at their pool villas, so go check that out if more context is required
Ready, set, go!
Before I went to Lexis, I had this big event at school were we had a sort of congress, in which i needed to present in front of my class, so I was HYPED for Lexis.
On the day that we were going to go to Lexis, we woke up at around 7-8am to prepare and eat breakfast before departing with all of our luggage to our car.
We reached the customs at approximately 9.45am. Singapore side of customs looked perfectly fine, the bridge wasn’t cluttered, but once we reached Johors side, that’s when it started. Start the timer! The entire road was lined up for miles, disappearing behind the curve of the fences. It was gonna be a long wait. Along the way we played some games, spotted some monkeys, slept, talked, slept and watched as people cut into queue in front of us.
Finally after around 4 hours stuck in the customs, we finally got past!
Roadtrip!
After that, we were free to blow past cars as the speed limit in Malaysia was 110 instead of 90 on highways. We stopped at the first R&R (which apparently means rest and recharge) we spotted to take a piss and generally recoup after 4 hours spent in a jam. R&Rs are something Singapore doesn’t have. They can range from small buildings to huge areas which include the basic necessities and some food, shops + others.
The one we stopped at was reasonably big, containing a BK and a mini food court. After recouping at the R&R, we were back to the races. Another hour or so (I don’t know I fell straight to sleep) and we stopped at yet another. This one was HUGE
It contained multiple buildings, with food courts, Malaysian 711s, more fast food than you would think, bathrooms and a Baskin Robins??? Baskin Robinns is apparently HUGE in Malaysia, but I couldn’t find out why. Around the R&R were some gas stations with MORE FAST FOOD and even a Tealive. Malaysia constantly surprises me.
We stopped for some mentos, hersheys, pringles and drinks before making our departure.
LEXIS!!!!
After a gruelling 3 hours, making it 7hrs and 30mins total in the car, we reached Lexis and the town of Port Dickson. We stopped at a nearby shop to pick up beer and Mr Potato before going to check in.
Checking in process done, we went straight up to the room, excited to get a proper rest. The room was epic
Room Tour
The room was amazing. 2 beds with a TV mounted on a wall, closet, bathroom, 2 showers and even a sort of living room with a couch and table.
Couch Table Closets Place to put slippers lol beds + TV Chairsss Pool and Steam room
It was a huge room to say the least. After chilling for a while and going for a swim, it was time for dinner. We chose the dinner buffet route as they had barbecue on for the buffet. yummy.
On our way out however, I got a few more great photos of the night/sunset
Time for food!!!

The food was insane. I hadn’t eaten a lot of steak before this aside from Marche Movenpick but dang this was good. The barbecue everything was really good, albeit the crabs were kinda small lol. We went for some satay before me and my sister went for some ice-cream!
After returning to the hotel room cuz i ate too much (oops), we went for a short walk along the beach. The walk was called Hibiscus Walk and it was supposed to be lined with houses and event areas. However, almost all of the shops were closed and at night, it looked pretty deserted. Still got some good photos tho
God I love this photo so much
After all of this and the countless hours on the car, we were yearning for a good sleep. (understatement.) After going back to the room, we went to sleep straight away. Whole day ahead.
Day 2
Good morning Lexis Hibiscus! At this point of time I would to highlight one particular photo of the view so you can see it, i have a lot of photos which I’ll showcase at the end

Lexis is a beautiful place, a genuine gem hidden in Malaysia, I love this place more than you can imagine.
Anyways, our food schedule was really horrible yesterday, considering half the day was spent in the car. Lets fix that with some breakfast. Some more insight, last time we came here, I ate some of their donuts and they were GOOD, so lets say I was aiming for those DONUTS.
Their breakfast buffet never gets old. After our breakfast, we went for a swim and kinda just chilled out in the room. Chilling out would be our main memo coming here, just taking a rest after all the chaos of work and school. As for me, I just switched between bed, pool and outside. May be unhealthy but doctors can’t stop me!
Lunch was a trip to Wen Yin, an (apparently) popular *Tze Char place in Port Dickson which my parents were intending on visiting last time.
*for the uninitiated, Tze Char is a sort of an economical food stall which provides a wide selection of common and affordable dishes which approximate home-cooked meals. (wiki)

Wen Yin had pretty good food, but had a huge fly problem lol. After Wen Yin we went for some ice-cream and bought some more Mr Potato (and beer), before running back to the hotel room. As expected, it was back to swimming and chilling, it was a fairly uneventful trip, but we had a lot of fun just hanging out.
Nighttime, almost the end already…. 🙁
Dinner was fairly easily settled, opting for in-room dining, (with a view) including pizza, pork chops and Char Kway Teow.
After eating dinner, my dad went to check out the sky bar while we stayed and partook in a (impromptu) weekly movie night. We watched the Lego Movie 2 while my dad took some great pictures of the view
Not viewable is a band inside
The Lego Movie 2 was decent, wouldn’t be a normal choice but we aren’t in normal circumstances. Instead of sitting on the couch, we were laid out on a bed with air-con blowing. FUN
Final Day
Short but fun is what I describe this vacation. It was revisiting an old place that we really liked, and we had tons of fun.
Waking up, we went to the breakfast buffet yet again for the last time in the foreseeable future. We were redirected to the Japanese restaurant becuz the breakfast place (Roselle Coffee House) was filled to the brim. We ate our breakfast yet again and enjoyed it just as much!
By the time we got back to the hotel, we had to start packing because we needed to leave in around 2 hours. We still managed to get a quick swim in before we left though, and once we were packed, we were right on our way, not before an afternoon photo

Back in the car!
The trip home was fairly uneventful, stopping at a few more R&Rs and just cruising along. Nothing out of the ordinary, mostly following the same routine as the first trip we took to get to the hotel.
The problem started on the way back. On the bridge bridging (no pun intended) Singapore and Johor, there was a pretty huge jam, and it took us quite a while to get through. After getting back, nothing really weird happened. Part of the course PHD, meaning post holiday depression (an actual syndrome) and some dinner downstairs. Eh
What now.
Well, its been a week since we’ve been there, I’ve gotten over it, and life has gone back to normal. I’m here writing about after a great deal of procrastination, and I’m working on a few other things considering writing and photos rn. Our next holiday will most likely be in December, considering September is unavailable, unless we book an impromptu staycation.
I’ve had my fun reminiscing and experiencing. I will see you soon considering I’m writing some other stuff and we just went to Sentosa yesterday. I hope you enjoyed reading, and stick around for some other stuff! Stay safe and wear your seatbelt
