Today we leave beautiful Dali and head back to Kunming.
Stopped for lunch at this very pretty restaurant at a small town on our way back.
Arrived back at Kunming and went to visit Kunming’s century old street Qian Wang Street. It’s the epitome of old Kunming vs the new Kunming. When we were walking back, we realized it’s actually nearby our hotel.
Last dinner in Yunnan, we went to Dian Jun Wang which is well-known for the Yunnan mushroom hot pot. So we were told to let the waiter/waitress do the cooking and only eat when they told us that it’s ready so we won’t get mushroom poisoning. Interesting…
Headed back to the hotel after dinner. We are staying at the Horizon Hotel Yunnan Kunming, which is the same hotel we stayed for our 1st night. So we went back to the night market/food street for a walk. But, we had pretty much seen it all the first night anyway so we headed back to rest and packed up for tomorrow.
Day 8 : Kunming – Singapore
Guess what time was the morning call. 3.20am!! We are departing at 4am for our flight back to Singapore at 08:40am.
On the itinerary, it said “After breakfast, if time permits, you are free to move around until the assembly time, then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.” Hah. We didn’t even get to have breakfast. Nice for the hotel to pack breakfast for us though.
