Mae Hon Soon loop: Day 2

2017-11-12: Chiang Mai to Mae Sariang,with planned stops to Doi Inthanon

Today’s planned route
Woke up early to the streets of Chiang Mai (that’s the old city walls)
Packed up and ready to go!

En-route to Doi Inthanon, we stopped by a few waterfalls.

There’s a small eatery at the waterfall, thus we decided to take our lunch there
This place is popular with tourists and bikers. Leaving the place after nice lunch

After lunch we continued our journey and reached the peak of Doi Inthanon. Highest mountain in Thailand! Elevation at 2565 m

Ok we spent too much time roaming the mountains, thus we quickly decent and continue our journey

Stopped by shop to buy drinks + cigs

After another hour’s ride, stopped by this petrol station for a coffee break (its really nice to drink hot coffee in such cooling weather)
There’s a retro honda bike at the station
After another hour’s riding, we saw this
And.. we reached Mae Sariang, parked at the guest house (it was raining)

washed up and went for dinner, found this nice place
Warm up with some Singha 1st
followed by the main course, we whack kailan again and the beef salad was super nice!

After the hearty dinner, we walked around and there’s nothing much in Mae Sariang. After all people just stop by here for the night when doing the Mae Hon Soon loop. We went back to rest to prepare for tomorrow.
