Here is our blog of our day at Chestnut nature park.
Hello and welcome, today i will, be blogging about the largest and best ( in my opinion ) nature park in Singapore!!!!! ON THE BUS!!
ahhh… here we are. the entrance

Well, no time to waste. We already took a 1hr bus here after lunch. lets go inside.

after walking under two highways and up a steep hill. We were immedietly greeted by a towering… well tower!!! Even though it was pretty high and there were some complaints, we went up the tower to see what view it would show us

WOOOOOW, after a long and hard climb, we were greeted by a amazing view. Huh, guess the climb was worth it, we took a few photos before deciding to go on down, cause my fear of heights definitely got the best of me.

After we got down, we decided to start the hiking trail when i was stopped by my mother. When i looked back, my eyes were met with a floating anomaly, WHAT WAS THAT

A CATERPILLAR??? I was confused, surprised and laughed, what was a caterpillar doing suspended in the air? After a few moments of confusion, we continued on with the assumption it was stuck in a spiderweb.
Before walking for too long, we were again met with another surprise, A TREE ARCH…… wait, what

Thats weird, oh well, not as weird as the floating caterpillar!
We were walking for no more than twenty minutes when we saw a very weird sign in the distance, i took out my camera and zoomed it in to see a…..

ummmm….. LIVE FIRING ZONE, IN A NATURE PARK, WITH A DEATH SIGN!!!!! How many weird things could a nature park have, first a floating caterpillar, then a tree arch, and now a live firing zone. Only one way to find out!
after another 5 more danger signs, we found a little marker saying that we jut pasted 500m. i could not help but think. THAT WAS FAST.

After a few minutes of walking, there was a sudden branch snapping sound in the trees. My tracks were immediately stopped after another sound, i looked at the ground then up to the trees, FOUND IT

This was our fist look at an animal!! ( except for all the ants and mosquitoes ) COOL!! Well, cant stop now, TO INFINITY AND BEYOND.
OH NOOO. A slight obstacle was blocking the path foward

After trying to come up with a solution to tackle this muddy obstacle, i just said, why not jump over it! That didnt work out…….

OH COME ON!!! Well, i couldn’t do anything about it now…. TO INFINITY AND BEYOND
wait, i already used that joke, every decent minded person knows you dont tell a joke twice…. oh well
A STREAM! Said my sister, she always seems to notice everything before us, we were crossing a bridge and we looked over the railings.

WE DID IT, WE WALKED A KILOMETRE! wait, we had to kill a metre….

right before our eyes, we had met with ROAD!!! wait, thats not exciting at all! Well.. at least theres no more mud for me to clumsily step in..
Before walking past a few more metres, my sister saw a cage in the distance, i zoomed in my camera to see a…… jeep?

Huh, whats a jeep doing at the side of the road in a nature park??? Guess its nt the weirdest thing here….. Well, lets continue!

YES!!!! MAINLAND! We had been walking for about 2 hours and stepping in alot of mud…. And we had finally reached mainland, the sight of road and a sign saying height limit was definitely a relief.

Well, after a 30 minute break, we finally decided to continue towards the southern loop. Yes, we were only half way done. WOW

After walking a for little while, we found a little pond. Why is this exciting, cause my sister made a joke about it. OH LOOK, A DENGUE BREEDING GROUND!

oh look, another pond. My sister said. Wait look, its a turtle ( or tortoise, or terrapin, whatever you think. )

After finally crossing the 1km point on the southern trail, we got met with a very, VERY tall tree, it was so big that there was only a very small trail on the side to get by.

before walking past the 1.1 km point, we were crossed by a few uncles saying that there were a few wild boars infront, after hearing that, i was frozen stiff with fear. If you guys dont know, i am actually really scared of pretty much everything so this, SCARED ME.
I was actually so scared that i could not take any more pictures, so i guess we could just fast foward then.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

CIVILIZATION. we had finally reached the end of the nature traill and walked past the twirling roads up to a bus stop, after we got past a big little tree arch, we finally sighed a big relief after we saw the towering condo. YESSSSSS
When we reached the bus stop, we took a bus back to Northpoint City and ate some McDonalds.

As you can see, we DEVOURED our meal, yum
And finally, we have reached the end of our adventure. Now it is time for my review!
Despite my absolute exhaustion, i still thought this was the best nature park in Singapore, if you saw my ( no words ) Hortpark blog, it was all paved road and greenhouses but for my family, the definition of a nature park is this.
no pavement all nature
I think this had everything, between the mud, the sound of crickets, the mosquitoes and the monkeys, i think this really had the nature theme. The mud was the real changing factor. Having come home and see that my foot and slippers had mud on it really screamed adventure, that i had gone to a nature walk, this was what i wanted all along.
so finally my review is
10/10! 5 stars!!!! CLAPS ALL AROUND. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a nature park, if you are looking for a man made one, definitely MacRitchie *COUGH* FORESHADOWING *COUGH*
So this would be the end of my blog, BYEEEEE
