YES, this is it, the long awaited post about MacRitchie Reservoir, I have already promised it in another blog and i myself have been looking foward to it so. Lets do this!!

Everyone knows that a good walk needs energy so…..

So after we ate our ( delicious. ) lunch, it came to the boring part, the bus ride. Well we all know there is nothin interesting about this, FAST FORWARD
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
After a long 2 hour ride/sleep, we had finally reached the bus stop opposite of MacRitchie Reservoir

We went over via an overpass and over a tiny little bridge, we finally reached the park grounds.

After crossing the bridge, and over a hilly slope i was greeted with an amazing surprise

THAT IS SOME CLEAR WATER. We were all amazed by how clear that water was, it was so clear that my mother thought of her holiday LAST YEAR. ( Not in covid, duh ) We walked for a little while before crossing a little marker like the ones in Chestnut

Before long, we were met with a racetrack, in the water…….

Right next to the racetrack, we found a few people fishing. But i could not help but wonder, there’s fish in a resevoir????

After walking for a little while, we were met with my sisters amazing eyes again
A turtle! Nope… It is a monitor lizard!! Trying to swim away from us…

after there, we had a discussion whether it was a terrapin or turtle, so me being a genius and never letting things go, i let myself use some mobile data to see whether tortises can swim. ( THEY CANNOT )
Before long we were met with a little edge near the water. well, PICTURES

Coming into this nature park, i thought this was going to be man-made, with wood boardwalks and bridge suspended 30 feet in the air above the tree canopy but this….

Finally some nature, this was a very big relief to see that not ALL of the park was just wood and bridges.
So here is the thing, we had planned to walk 11km, but realized that by the time we will be done, it would be 7p.m., so we decided to stop half way at the apparently connected Windsor Nature Park, we had actually gone there before but i did not take a pictures and we had not created our blog yet so yeah…..
before long we were met with a spiderweb, ohhhhh

We never see spiderwebs this big as my grandfather always ends up vacuuming all the spiders and their webs, HA
After at least 2 more km, we were met with a path, where would it lead to, lets find out.

After walking to Windsor, i realized we had only walked 3km, so i just decided to cut in Windsor and stop there, when we were met with a shortcut, i decided to go through, turns out it was way more than that

Actually, this was way better than my other encounters as we were actually on a raised walkway so he could not get to us. So instead of a flight or faster flight situation like before, i stayed around and observed the 2 wild boars for a while, it was VERY FASCINATING

WOW, i guess that wasnt the only animal here, a lizard. COOL, I actually noticed this after hearing a sound. cool again….
So sadly this concludes my post for MacRitchie post, i dont think this was as long as i hoped but i dont think there was too much to write here, so…. REVIEW TIME
this surprised me. My initial thoughts were
Alright, Chestnut was cool and naturee, so i guess lets go to a more man-made park
But this surprised me, i am not disappointed as i was actually very happy to find out that this was not all man-made, o mud but still a nice little pebble pathway with the sunlight filtering through the trees, surprising and fun to climb up the hill filled with pebbles and rocks jutting out the mountain side. All together a good experience so in conclusion
8.5/10, Popular and it deserved that title for a nature park this big and nice, i have gone to the treetop walk BEFORE and it was really cool, highly recommend ( Yes all my reviews will probably be very nice…… SORRY ) DESERVED A GOOD NAME LIKE THIS. WOOO
man am i tired, i am going to lie down now, bye
