What we did over the Labour Day Holidays PT 3 (Lexis Hibiscus May 1-4 2022)

After a short hiatus, I’m back with another post, and I’m here to finish things off with the remainder of Day 1, 2 and 3 of our stay at Lexis Hibiscus. Lets jump straight in because yet again, I have a lot to say, expect a long blog post.

Remainder of Day 1

Alright, so we left off with a look inside our room. Of course right as we got in, we got into our swim suits and jumped straight into the pool. It was BEYOND fun swimming and chilling around in a private pool with no stress about when to leave or anything of that matter. We were chilling and that was about it, the best part was the fact that the pool had walls made out of glass, meaning that we could see the sea (No pun intended.)

And of course, the sun sets

After we jumped out and took a quick shower, we went out for dinner. The problem with this is, everywhere in Malaysia was full. Almost every Zhi Char (Your average restaurant) was filled to the brim, so we decided to go to PD Waterfront. PD stands for Port Dickson and PD Waterfront was their “City”. It had a ton of shops and it was near the beach of course. There was noodles, Korean Food, Western Food, Chicken Rice and Malaysias’ star bubble tea outlet, Tealive. However, there was 1 problem, either everything was full, there was a 30 minute line, or THEY RAN OUT OF CHICKEN. In the end, we decided it would be for the best, to go get some Pizza Hut across the road. No photos but the pizza was decent.

We arrived back home after a great dinner and I conked out, straight to sleep.

Day 2, FULL DAY OF FUN!

The thing about resorts and hotels in general, is that they have buffets, and Lexis Hibiscus was no different. We woke up to the sound of an alarm and made our way to 7am breakfast buffet. I just wanna say I was impressed, there was a VARIETY of food and drink options, and it was amazingly run. There were close to no lines (excluding the egg stall) and all the staff there were amazing cooks (One even did an epic egg flip). I absolutely loved it and it was amazing

Amazing food, the donuts were insane

After breakfast, we went back to our hotel, and we continued our swimming. Swimming was mostly the activity we were taking part in during our holiday and it never got old. Just floating in a pool enjoying the cold water while everyone messes around just having fun, looking out into the (dirty) ocean or even watching the sun.

Back to PD Waterfront

After we had our swim, we returned to PD Waterfront for some more food! This time it seemed like there was space in the noodles shop which sold mainly 牛肉面 AKA beef noodles. We took a seat, ordered and chomped on some noodlesss

mhm

The food was pretty diggity dang good. The vegetables were great and the noodles tasted satisfactory too. Malaysian food is epic, and I stand by that.

While eating, I realised it was May, and my bubble tea quota refilled. Over here we have a quota for bubble tea drank per month, once per month so we’re staying objectively healthy, but my quota just refreshed! In a stroke of luck, PD Waterfront had a Tealive! Like I said, Tealive is Malaysia’s form of bubble tea, so I decided to give it a shot

Ordered and waiting.

Yeah…. Looks like we weren’t the only ones who were craving for bubble tea. Because there wasn’t any winter melon milk tea in Malaysia unlike LiHo in Singapore, I settled for a plain ol’ milk tea 100% sugar no pearls (Don’t you dare judge, THE PEARLS GET IN THE WAY). When our bubble tea finally got here, I couldn’t wait to drink it. Problem is it was sealed horribly, like all bubble teas, and we lost some milk tea 🙁

All was fine though. The bubble tea tasted pretty average but still satisfactory, just like good ol’ milk tea. Anyways, since we dealt with our lunch, we returned to the hotel. FOR MORE SWIMMING MUAHAHAHAHA.

DINNER BUFFET LEZ GO!!

After the swimming we decided to join in on some buffet dinner. Here the reality of “I need to go home and leave this stunning place” started to hit me, and I got sad. This place is amazing, I would hate to leave, but here I am, back home. On our way there, I also took some more AMAZING photos.

Anyways, the dinner buffet was crowded, but still the food was great and so was the service. I love the apple juice there and all the dinner food was genuinely decent too, may have been hard to find a seat but nobody’s perfect 🙂

Dinner

After this we quickly realised Mandy still had homework to do, so we rushed back and spent the remainder of the day lounging in bed watching Twitch.

Day 3, going home

Sigh, looks like its time to go back home. This stay at Lexis was phenomenal but the world goes back to normal yet again. We woke up and, yet again, went to go grab some breakfast at the buffet. It never disappoints, it was still just as good.

Bye Bye Lexis, I’ll miss you

We officially left Lexis at around 11:30am, and we got in the car and left for the final time. Of course the scenery along the way home was still amazing, not that I got to see much of it cause I was asleep half the time. Anyways, we decided to stop at Yong Peng (Malaysian Town) to get what the town is famous for, FISHBALL NOODLES

We had our lunch really late, so I was starving

If you’re wondering, Yong Peng is around 3/4 of the way back to Malaysia, so we were almost there.

Back in Singapore

After crossing the Malaysian border, and the Singapore Customs, we arrived back in Singapore. All of those events led to me to now, almost done with the 2nd school term, and writing this blog in class using my free time.

I absolutely loved Lexis Hibiscus. Best resort I’ve ever been to no competition, I will be coming back here, a lot. Genting Highlands and Lexis Hibiscus are both worthy of their awards, and they are basically my go to holidays now. The private pool is insanely fun, the food was top TIER. The buggy, scenery, service, all amazing. The next time I get an opportunity, I AM COMING BACK.

Next up, we’re going on a Staycation this weekend, so keep an eye out, cause a blog for that will be coming. We have a few more holidays confirmed too, for example Genting and Cameroon Highlands, so there’s a lot to come. I’m also hoping to complete round island before I’m 18, so cycling trips may also pop up. This “series” of blog posts were so fun to write, and I hope you enjoyed them. Signing off.
