Sentosa time, this time (as evident by the title) we’re going to the island next to Sentosa. According to some signs, its the “Southernmost Point of Continental Asia.” Lets depart!
First, to clear stuff up, let’s get the facts out of the way. This is NOT the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia; to put it lightly, it’s a gimmick.
First of all, some could argue that this tiny island lying off the side of Sentosa isn’t even part of continental Asia (assuming continental means mainland). Singapore is an ISLAND, Sentosa is an ISLAND, and this tourist attraction is an ISLAND. In this case, you can’t claim that this island is part of continental Asia. The real Southernmost point is Tanjung Piai in Malaysia.
Second, even if you said the island was the Southernmost point of ASIA, that would still be wrong. Politically speaking, Indonesia is part of Southeast Asia, so technically, the Southernmost point of Asia would be Pulau Ndana.
Third, from a geographical standpoint, The Southernmost point of Asia is the South Keeling Islands. However, politically the South Keeling Islands belong to Australia, so Idk about that.
EVEN IF Sentosa was still considered the Southernmost point AFTER ALL OF THIS, it still wouldn’t count at all… Some rich guy has private property that is more south than the island.

So after destroying Sentosas reputation. LETS GET PHOTOING!
Sentosa!
So before we start, we had actually wanted to come here a while ago, but it was blocked off. Now its open so we get to go take some photos. On the day itself, after going for lunch where we ate “Ma Maison” + some bubble tea and went to a Mr D.I.Y, we were kinda bored so we decided to go to Sentosa! After spotting people on the drawbridge towards the island, we realised it was open!!
There was a cluster of trees and two rocks around the entrance of the drawbridge, which made a really cool atmosphere as if we were transported into another world… spooky

The bridge itself was extremely shaky, part becuz when humans meet shaky bridge, they wanna shake it. Of course the bridge looked really cool though, at the very end there was 2 towers on either side, framing an extremely nice photo

Island Time!!!
When we got to the end we were met with a unblocked view of the sea and a really nice path + two towers. Photographer mode turned on in my head and I immediately started snapping. The trees, rocks and towers jutting out made it really feel like a tropical island surrounded by the sea, I loved it
Covered by trees Trees by the Sea (Hey that rhymed!) shoutout to the guy who made this shot so cool LMAO The seaaaaa
After gushing over the sea view and taking some pictures, we went up the tower to get a real view. Before that tho I took this photo which shows the mindset of a photographer. “Staircase, nah. Opportunity for photo, yes.”

The other tower to the left of the bridge entering was blocked off for maintenance, so we could only go to the right tower. It was too bad because there was a bridge we could’ve crossed to take a photo above the path. At the top of the tower, we took some photos!
The SEA! The other tower Clouds are beautiful today One of my personals favs
Coming down from the tower, there were 2 paths skewering off of the bridge, we chose the right one first, which had more of an off-road path.
Exploring the island
The right part of the island did not have much on it besides a gazebo and a nice walk to the very end with flowers!
To the left was a lot more stuff. Mainly including 3 areas to sit and enjoy the ocean, a Sentosa sign made out of rock and another inaccessible walk. To the front of the sentosa rock was a beach looking out at, Palawan beach, I guess.
Off the Island
After we were done exploring the island, we went to a nearby 711 on the beach to get some water and chips before returning to the car. We brought out some chairs and chilled out for a while before going for dinner, but I forgot what we ate so we’re ending it here.
Sentosa was very cool and it was nice spending the day exploring the island, Im gonna go back to some more writing. I hope you enjoyed this short blog about Sentosa, see ya later
