Our 6th and final day of our trip to Taiwan consists of 3 locations, Tamsui Old Street then, finally, the long awaited… Taipei 101 before finally heading back to Taoyuan Airport for departure at midnight for an overnight flight back to Singapore. This means we’ll be headed from the far South of our travels back to the far North. Enjoy!

Destination 1 – Tamsui Old Street
Another one of the many full 2 hour drives from the Treeart Hotel, Tamsui Old Street is located in the Tamsui District (duh) of New Taipei City. A nice breezy walk admiring the coast the view of Taipei and New Taipei City is a great way to spend the day before we finish off the trip. This is around our 6th Old Street by now, cementing the “One Old Street every day” tradition which we DID NOT plan for.
Pictures along the coast and through the Old Streets. Final one

Final Destination – Taipei 101
The icon of Taipei and Taiwan as a whole. 508m tall, 101 stories tall. The world’s first skyscraper to exceed a height of half a kilometer. The tallest building in Taiwan and the eleventh tallest in the world as of writing. 20 years on and still an absolute icon.

Its a pure shame we couldn’t go earlier and didn’t spend more time there. Located in the heart of Taipei City in the Xinyi District, Taipei 101 is arguably one of the most recognisable and famous buildings in Asia. To be totally honest with you, as an amateur photographer and teenager at heart, obviously I was just waiting the entire trip to come here. Imagine it like the hype of visiting Fuji in Japan or the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. Think of Taiwan and you think of 101 or 一零一 (yÄ« lÃng yÄ«) in Chinese which sounds very satisfying
A fairly suitable final landmark to end of Taiwan

Conclusion – Goodbye Taiwan
Oh my god! I’m finally done! Thank the Aeons!!
Jokes aside, I loved doing this entire blog/project. Its rather similar to what I did for my Malaysia-Thailand-Singapore Roadtrip with a multiple part project and one master post. Given that has the most views on my blog in the past year with double the second most at 200 out of 1000, I hope this one helps anyone who reads it to. Taiwan was fun, very very fun. I loved it and I hope you will to.
I need to go to sleep at 10pm and its 9.40pm so I should probably wrap this up. To anyone who’s read all 6 or even this post alone, thank you!

This is so cool!
