Day 2 is free & easy, we’ll explore Frankfurt on foot and visit some of the places of interest nearby.
Note – This is a part of a 12 Day Blog relating to my friend group’s trip around Europe and primarily the UK. See here
First off, we took a hike along Main River of Frankfurt.

Noticed throughout there’s quite a number of homeless people staying under the bridges. Heck next time we dont even need to book accommodation, just bring a tent/sleeping bag.
Graffiti Street art is surprisingly all over the place. Seems like as long there’s a hard surface people will paint on it. KT with his acute business sense, sees a business opportunity and plans to open business selling spray paint there in near future….

We wandered to Frankfurt Cathedral for a wefie.

Most of the shops are not opened in the morning, after wandering around we found this: Wiener Feinbäcker Heberer which is open and we went in for breakfast.

Went for more hikes around the river, inspecting a few bridges for structural integrity. 😁 (Still doing good deeds on holiday)
One other business idea is to sell locks beside the bridges, sure huat.

As there’s not much going on, we plan to head back to the train station to figure out the logistics for the next day’s journey. Along the way to the train station, we found an interesting museum which we wanted to visit but there’s a lot of shady people loitering in the area thus we decided to skip it.
Thereafter, we went back to train station to figure out the logistics for the next day’s journey, like which platform to board etc. We found there’s no gated access to the platforms and we just need to figure out on the day itself.

We then explored a shopping mall and decided to head to Römerberg. The historical market square is really beautiful and there’s quite a number of tourists around. We settled down at Römer-Bembel for food/drinks and chilled for quite awhile there. It even slightly snowed at some point, and it was really cold. (below 5 degrees)
We realized opposite where we sat is the Kaisersaal, where many people held their weddings. Every hour or so we can see a new couple in wedding attire walked out. We reckoned we can standby there and step in should any one of the grooms did not turn up. 😂

We were tired at this point and went back to the AirBnB for a short rest, ended up most of us overslept lol. I think we only wake at 8pm+ if I recall correctly. Based on my step counter each of us have walked over 20,000+ steps, plus the jetlag kicked in makes us wearier.
Still, we head out for some light dinner and grabbed some beers before heading back to pack up and rest for next day’s journey to Amsterdam.
