Hello and welcome to YH’s TIBUT, standing for “Yong Hong’s Things I’ve been up to”! This is a post that I will commonly write whenever I feel like there’s a need to recap what I’ve been up to and show you some pictures I’ve taken. I will still right independent posts when required, but usually, these will be the posts you will see. I didn’t want every post like this to be named “Photo Collages,” so I created a name for it. Let’s get into it, then.
OEE – Trekking through the rain
Regarding June-July for Secondary Two’s in our school, we have an OEE expedition standing for the “Outdoor Education Expedition.” On this particular day/two days and one night, Secondary Two’s trek from Macritichie to the summit of Bukit Timah hill before coming down and walking back to school to cook and stay a night before activities the next day (We sleep over there.)
We were (un)fortunate enough for it to be raining that day (It was pretty special), so I barely got any photos of the trek, but here are two.
Hortpark – Revisit
As you most surely do not know, the first post I “Wrote” here, or more so posted here, was about Hortpark. Now, with my newfound sarcasm and funny camera skills, I have returned to take some photos.
Ion Orchard – Very reflective building
Whilst my sister was busy with NDP things, we went to go buy a bag, that’s literally it.
This looks cool
Skyvile@Dawson – 47 Floor HDB
Although most HDBs range from a modest 13-17 floors, perhaps, some tower above the rest, just like this one. There are around 189 HDBs with more than 30 floors, the highest of which is the Pinnacle@Duxton. However, for unclear reasons, we did not go there but settled for 47 floors at Skyvile@Dawson. You can even see Ridout Road from up there!
LIVERPOOL VS LEICESTER, JULY 30TH, SINGAPORE STADIUM!
Liverpool and Tottenham have come to Singapore for their pre-season tour! Liverpool is playing Leicester and then Bayern, whilst Tottenham was going to play Roma, but now they’re playing our Lion City Sailors. Luckily, I got two tickets to Liverpool vs. Leicester with my dad on a Sunday.
Although I am a Manchester City fan, when Jurgen Klopp comes knocking on your door, you answer, City fan or not (I have no pride nor shame.) It’s fortunate for them to come to your country, so you seize that opportunity and go to the game. However, I would refuse to go to a Man United game, they would have to pay me to go over there! (exaggeration)
Here are some photos I took of the stadium and our seats. You can’t bring cameras inside so only phones
As you may know, Liverpool won that game 4-0. It was quite the experience, the atmosphere was fantastic and everyone was cheering when we scored and the people we were sat next to were quite entertaining. There were songs, cheers, and YNWA at the start of the game was beautiful. Never been to an actual Liverpool game before but YNWA sounded like the entire stadium was singing it.
Conclusion
I have made it a target to at least post every month, something that can be pretty cool and nice for you to read. I enjoy it too!
Nothing else from here, signing off.
