Day 4: The plan for today is we’ll do the Amsterdam Canal Cruise in the morning, followed by Heineken Factory tour in the afternoon.

We proceed back to Amsterdam-Centrum after breakfast and found the tour along the river. Paid for it and went in. The canal cruise was really worth it as there’s a recorded audio in the boat explaining the history and places of interest along the thousands of canals that we went through, highly recommended.
Apparently there’s still people living in some of the boat houses along the river.
After the Canal cruise, we walked to the Heineken factory for the tour.
Arrived at the Heineken factory and we joined the tour. It’s interesting to see the heritage of Heineken and how they have evolved till date. At the end of tour there’s a souvenir shop and we each got a bottle of Heineken printed with our names on it.
There’s a bar as well with one free glass as part of the tour. We chilled quite awhile there before moving on.
On the way back to Amsterdam-Centrum we stopped by Restaurant & Bar Lagerhuys for light lunch (and more beers). We choose to seat outdoors to brave experience the cold but luckily, there’s a heater at the seating area to help me.
Post beer break, we went back to Amsterdam-Centrum where we checked out some casinos toilets (to use their toilet gaming machines π). For dinner we choose Chinese food as guess most of us are getting quite sick of western food fare. Found a Xi’an restaurant where they serve traditional Chinese La-Mian, finally!
It was nighttime after dinner; we walked around De Wallen and found many Brazil football supporters in the area.
With no football matches going on and it’s raining also thus we took shelter at another pub place for more beers and chill out. Went back to our hotel and had second round of drinks plus some supper and called it a day, destination Manchester tomorrow!
